Grain producers and grain companies can send grain samples to the Canadian Grain Commission for inspection and analytical services. The Canadian Grain Commission will provide impartial results that can be used when marketing or negotiating fair value for the grain. Canadian exporters may also request statements of assurance, which provide commodity-specific summary monitoring statistics that demonstrate quality and safety trends in Canadian grain exports. These are available for any grain exported in bulk. (Grain Quality,Safeguards for Grain Farmers, Canadian Grain Commission.)
