The Kimberley Process Office (KPO) issues certificates to companies and individuals that wish to export rough diamonds. Applications are analyzed and verified by KPO staff, and there are six Authorized Signatories who can approve/sign the certificates. Once issued, certificates are sent to the applicant by courier or by mail. Certificates can also be printed remotely at secure locations with a number of key clients.
