Under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act, the Parole Board of Canada is required, upon request, to provide victims with the ability to listen to the audio recording of the offender’s hearing, excluding any portion that could jeopardize the safety of a person, reveal a confidential source of information, or when the privacy interests of any person clearly outweighs the interest of the victim.
