The Canadian Victims Bill of Rights (CVBR) provides victims with the right to information, the right to protection, the right to participation, and the right to restitution. Under the CVBR, the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is required to have a formal victim complaint mechanism to respond to victims who believe their rights under the CVBR have not been respected.
