State funeral

State funerals are public events that are typically held to honour special Canadians and members of the royal family. As these are public events, they are offered and organized by the Government of Canada. These events must also allow as many Canadians as possible to pay tribute to great Canadian citizens. These tributes take various forms: website dedicated to the deceased including visual products (photos or videos), publications on social media, physical or online condolence books, broadcast ceremonies, paper and electronic programs, etc. (National Celebrations, Commemorations and Symbols, Canadian Heritage.)
