The Canada Gazette is the official newspaper of the Government of Canada and publishes formal public notices, official appointments, proposed regulations, regulations, and public Acts of Parliament. Approved regulations must be published in the Canada Gazette (Part II) as required by legislation in order to complete the regulatory process. Various private sector notices must also be published in the Canada Gazette. The Canada Gazette serves as a consultation tool between the Government of Canada and Canadians and gives Canadians the opportunity to provide their comments on proposed regulations published in the Canada Gazette, Part I.
