This Program funds projects to help reduce air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions in the aviation, marine and rail sectors. Projects that receive Clean Transportation Initiative Program funding, may, for example: - Conduct research and share knowledge on emission-reducing (clean) technologies; - Develop technologies or other ways to help measure transportation-related emissions; and/or - Develop, test, deploy and install innovative clean technologies in Canada.
